Whitianga, Coromandel
January 26th, Today, we drive to the Coromandel peninsula, a beautiful area with beaches, great hiking
tracks and rough 4-WD trails. In Coromandel Town, you can find several historic buildings.
We spend the night in Whitianga.
We'll stay in the
Aotearoa Lodge.
January 27th, A whole day to explore the peninsula. In the Whitianga area we can visit Cathedral Cove
and Hot Water Beach, were there are hot water springs right below the sand. In the Coromandel Forest
Park, we can take more than 30 hiking trails.
